I had wanted to update the poster once I completed but decided to wait til their montage is completed.

This is the Chibi Cartoon Portrait Poster for Wedding that Joanne had commissioned together with the Cartoon Story Montage for their wedding on the 4th of October 2009. It was completed on the 18th of September. The cartoon story montage has since been completed on the 29th of September and handed over to them.

Joanne wanted a ‘beach and sea theme’ and happened to have a picture of them standing in water making a heart with their hands. But it would be difficult to portray water so I drew them sitting on the beach instead. Then, I  threw in some starfishes and a coconut tree for a more ‘beach’ look and had the idea of putting hibiscus in her hair since they had taken their studio shot in Malaysia and her hubby is a Malaysian.

It is made to look somewhat like a Movie Poster with their names on top and credits below. Also some accompanying phrase that one usually see in posters.  That’s why it look so different from the usual Cartoon Posters for Wedding which I had been doing. The idea is to display it in the reception as if the guests are coming to their wedding to see a movie of their love story (which is the montage I did for them). Though their story had nothing to do with the beach or sea. ^^
