Personal Art – Valentine’s Day

Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone! It’s a day of love. Not only couple love, but friends love. Yes, we should all love our friends and tell them so! When schooling, one of my gal friends never fail to give me the ‘kiss’ chocolate. It’s a small gift but it’s a nice gesture and warm my heart.

Nowadays, Valentine’s Day has become rather commercialised and couples who have been together for a long time rather just celebrate every other day. However, I remembered my first Valentine’s Day 1999 with Vincent, my first love and now my hubby. He bought me a bouquet of three roses and waited for me at one of the MRT station in town. Was quite embarrassed to receive it since I dislike attention. The roses are still kept til today, dried, with their buds, stem and everything in a cocktail bottle. After that one year, I told him not to buy for me again on this day as it’s expensive. ^_^

Here’s some freebie cards I did for my online friends and supporters, MeiZhen, Chloe, Linda and Jenny. They never fail to give me encouragements and kind comments for the things I do. Of course, the rest of the supporters are as equally important to me. But I have to stop at 4. Pardon me… These cards are all done in different style because I’m just experimenting.

First – Was trying to do a more action pose, features look more realistic and lines are not black. Second- Tried drawing the lines black again, experimenting with more anime nose instead of realistic nose. Third- Use coloured lines again to give the soft look. Different kind of nose. Drew more detailed strands for the gal’s hair.
