UpdateGraphic…Love Is Movie Poster
The project for Chloe, titled, ‘Love Is…’ was completed and handed over on the 21st of October 2006. Seeing that I have been doing movie poster of the clips for my website, she asked me to do a movie poster for hers to be printed.
Since it was to be done at a huge size, I took care on the lines and details of the clothing, especially the beads of the necklace and the crown. Subsequently, she printed an A2 poster which is to be displayed at her banquet entrance on the 4th of November. I was pleasantly surprised when she kindly printed an extra poster for me.
I really treasure this as it is such a nice feeling to see your work printed and displayed. This is also the first time my work gets printed into an A2 glossy poster. Her story is interesting too and I do hope to be able to showcase her flash movie to share with you all after everything is sorted.
I took the photograph under natural light on the poster tacked to the wall. The camera does the picture injustice as it appears a little dark. But you can see that the cartoon still looks very clear. The colour is a bit different as compared to the computer art. Computer colour is usually still more vivid than printed. I’ll make sure to take note of such printing differences in the future. Rest assured that the real poster looks extremely eye-catching, nothing like what my camera can capture.

Recently I have been thinking alot about my career… thinking if I shd do something abt wedding too…but I am not artistic. Not sure what to do…heheheee..

Dun worry abt not being artistic n dunno what to do for ur wedding. All s possible. It’s more impt the thought n the process of doing it for your big day that makes it special. Not the artistic component.

thanks for liking it. career in wedding, hmm..how abt wedding planner? you can be creative but not neccessary need drawing skills. Though I’m not really people still use them nowadays.
Chloe, hee. So he has seen it. I’m glad he likes it.
I showed it to my mum who has never bother to look at my stuff or ask abt my animation work. Her first words were, “wah, this guy is so ‘yandao” and said the poster is nice. You don’t know how surprised and happy I felt to be accepted by her, since she has never ever praised me once for my art.
It made me feel that I should start printing my artwork one day, instead of hiding them in the computer.

Ya.. I agree with Cat that being a wedding planner is something good & interesting too. Though the hours may be longer on certain days, I believe there will be alot of satisfaction. =)

Cat, the poster is simple and nice, I love it. You should print some of your artworks and display them, create a mini exhibition.

Mei Zhen, preparing for my wedding, I also think that I should do something related to wedding. At first, visiting this blog inspired me, but I can’t draw. But then my photographer inspired me haha. Now I am so interested in doing photography course and I like photo editing.
Wedding planner is a good idea, I know someone that has a full time job and she is also a freelance wedding planner.
I have a friend that loves make up, but only make up herself. After seeing how the MUA did her make up for photoshoots, she got inspired and she is planning to take make up course after her wedding.

Wedding is such an inspiring event that most of the gals got inspired by wedding planning ya? Heehee. Well, now must start savings 1st and need to think about how to go abt it, blah blah…sort of a biz plan…Need to have $ and enuff savings to survive….. There are things to think of..
Well that’s y I salute to Cat for being able to do what she likes despite parents disapproval, and she does it so well. Heehee….Maybe I am not that couragous yet….But it is nice to Cat do it. That’s why I always like to leave messages here to encourage Cat cos I think it is very important to have ppl cheering you on. I thk it does makes a different for the person….
